Wayne “Taz” Dawson

Taz is what is considered a “real Queenstown Local” this means he has been around the area for longer than people can pinpoint.  For more than the past 25 years Taz has been spending most of his time in the magnificent Mountains of the Southern Lakes Region of New Zealand, from hunting with his Dad from a young age to guiding on the Hollyford and Routeburn Tracks.  Taz considerers the backcountry of the Southern Lakes Regions his home and certainly can help you feel welcome in it.

With a passion for Red deer hunting with either Bow or Rifle Taz still enjoys time off to chase the Reds through his backyard ever finding new and exciting hunting locations and opportunities.

Taz is an advanced Skier and 12 years of ski instruction gave Taz the opportunity to work overseas as instructor and the chance to Hunt in Europe and Canada when he was there.

 Additionally Taz has owned and operated Hunting and Fishing store in Queenstown allowing him to learn and test all the gear available in New Zealand for hunting and fishing.

Taz will make you feel confident and comfortable no matter where you are hunting and help you fulfill your ambitions.
